	เนื้อหา :	ศูนย์ดัชนีการอ้างอิงวารสารไทย หรือ TCI Centre เป็นศูนย์ที่เกิดจากโครงการวิจัย ภายใต้ทุนวิจัยพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี ปี 2545 มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อรายงานดัชนีผลกระทบการอ้างอิงวารสารวิชาการภายในประเทศ โดยอาศัยหลักการของสถาบัน ISI ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ได้จัดทำฐานข้อมูลที่เรียกว่า Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI) เพื่อรายงานดัชนี ผลกระทบการอ้างอิงวารสารวิชาการภายในประเทศ โดยใช้ดัชนีที่เป็นตัวชี้วัดคุณภาพของวารสาร 3 ดัชนีหลักคือ Impact Factor, Immediacy Index และ Cited Half-life ตามหลักการของ สถาบัน Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ศูนย์ฯ ได้ทำการ คัดเลือกวารสารวิชาการไทยที่ จำนวน 100 รายการโดยเป็นวารสารวิชาการที่จัดทำ ขึ้นภายในประเทศ ทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ มีการจัดพิมพ์อย่างต่อเนื่องทุกปีระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2534-2545 ซึ่งนับเป็นครั้งแรกของประเทศไทยที่มีฐานข้อมูลที่สามารถสืบค้นข้อมูลบทความและ ข้อมูลการอ้างอิงในแต่ละบทความที่ลงตีพิมพ์ในวารสารวิชาการไทยได้ในระบบออนไลน์ (Online Database)
