In an article published on October 27, 2016 the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced that it has prepared a draft update of the Community Rolling Action Plan (CoRAP) for 2017-2019, under which European Member States (MS) plan to evaluate 117 substances to clarify whether their use poses a risk to human health or the environment. The draft CoRAP was prepared together with MS and risk-based criteria were applied to select the 117 substances. 24 substances shall be evaluated in 2017, 47 in 2018, and 46 in 2019. ECHA informed that its MS Committee will discuss the draft and prepare an opinion in February 2017. The final CoRAP update for 2017-2019 will be adopted and published in March 2017. Starting from the publication date, MS will have to evaluate the substances specified for 2017 within one year....
