Ruihai International Logistics chairman, Yu Xuewei, has been sentenced to death, with a two year reprieve, for his part in the Tianjin chemical explosion in August 2015. Typically such sentences see the death sentence commuted to a life sentence after the reprieve period has been served in jail. Mr Xuewei told the Tianjin court he will not appeal the decision and that he regretted his actions.
