การลดสัมประสิทธิ์การขยายตัวเนื่องจากความร้อน (coefficient of thermal expansion) และการเพิ่มความทนทานต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงอุณหภูมิ (thermal shock resistance) ในคอเดียไรท์ (cordierite) ที่มีส่วนประกอบของเซรามิกโดยการให้สัมผัสกับน้ำในสถานะของเหลวหรือก๊าซนั้น วิธีนี้สามารถลดสัมประสิทธิ์การขยายตัวเนื่องจากความร้อนได้โดยการวัดที่อุณหภูมิ 25-800 องศาเซลเซียส ขณะเซรามิกคอเดียไรท์สัมผัสกับน้ำ วิธีนี้สามารถใช้เชื่อมกับโครงสร้างรังผึ้งแบบดั้งเดิมได้ในการเป็นเครื่องยนต์ดีเซลที่ติดตั้งเครื่องกรองเขม่า (diesel particle filters) และช่วยเป็นตัวเร่งในการก๊าซได้มีการระบายออกมาอย่างอัตโนมัติ |
บทคัดย่อ (Eng) : |
A reduced coeff. of thermal expansion and an increased resistance to thermal shock in cordierite contg. ceramic articles is achieved to by contacting such articles with water either in liq. or gaseous state. This treatment reduces the coeff. of thermal expansion of the article by > 1x10-1% measured at 25-800º during the contacting. The treatment can be used in conjunction with extruded honeycomb structures conventionally used as diesel particle filters and supports for catalysts which treat automotive exhaust gases. |
