11	Bioavailability ความหมาย : Describes the ability of substances, including nickel, to form metal ions which can then be released into the environment and taken up by plants and other living organisms including humans who may be exposed to nickel, e.g., through the food chain, in the general environment or from occupational nickel exposures. Adverse environmental and human effects will not occur until a certain level of bioavailable nickel ion is reached. Nickel is a naturally occurring element, the 5th most abundant element in the world. It is found in rocks and soils, and may be locked into the structure of the rock or soil or sediment so that it is not readily available to living things or to the environment.
