บทคัดย่อ (ไทย) :	เศษแก้วที่มีโลหะออกไซด์ (ส่วนประกอบที่ทำให้เกิดสี) และ/หรือเศษเซรามิกจะถูกบดรวมกันและหลอมในเตาเผาภายใต้สภาวะของก๊าซไนโตรเจนกรือก๊าซเฉื่อย (inert gas) โดยใช้อุณหภูมิ 1500-1800 องศาเซลเซียส เพื่อลดโลหะออกไซด์ที่อยู่ในวัสดุที่จะใช้เผา wood stopper ใช้เป็นตัวรีดิวซ์ (a reductant) หรือใช้ก๊าซคาร์บอนมอนออกไซด์ ถ่านหิน และอื่นๆ เพื่อแยกโลหะและกากถลุงที่หลอมตัวออกมาและกำจัดออกไปใส่ในถังบรรจุน้ำเพื่อให้โลหะตกตะกอน (precicpitate) โดยการใช้ความถ่วงจำเพาะ (specific gravity) และกากถลุงที่เป็นฟองสีขาวที่มีโลหะปนมาด้วยเล็กน้อยสามารถนำกลับมาใช้ใหม่ได้ กากถลุงที่แยกโลหะออกแล้ว จะถูกทำให้เย็นด้วยเครื่องมือที่ทำให้การเย็นตัวช้าลงจนได้แก้วโปร่งใส
บทคัดย่อ (Eng) :	Metal oxide (as coloring component)-contg. waste glass articles and/or waste ceramics are crushed and melted in a melting furnace under N2 gas or inert gas at 1500-1800º to reduce the metal oxide in the crushed materials by paper label, wood stopper in the crushed materials, etc. as a reductant or CO, coke, etc. to sep. into metal and molten slag. The metal and molten slag are discharged into a water tank to ppt. the metal by sp. gr. different to recover white foamed slag contg. an extremely small amt. of metals. Optionally, the molten slag after sepg. metals is slowly cooled in a slow cooling device to obtain a transparent glass.
