บทคัดย่อ (Eng) :	Heat-resistant clay-metal complex antibacterial agents are prepd. by introducing antibacterial metal complexes and metal polynuclear hydroxide cat ions into the interlayers of inorg. layered compds. by cation exchange. Na montmorillonite was stirred with an aq. soln. contg. [Al13O4(OH)24]7+ and then with Ag(TBZ)2 complex [TBZ = 2-(4-thiazolyl)benzimidazole] to give an intercalation complex (Ag content 2.0 wt.%), which inhibited Escherichia coli with a min. inhibitory concn. of 400 ppm. An overglaze compn. contg. the complex at 1.0 wt.% retained antibacterial activity after firing at 800º.
